Everybody's gotta check out "Seventeen" by LA-based group Casxio. I like it's new-age hipness crossed with jammers like Kool and the Gang and how it is interestingly labeled as coke-funk. Definitely gets me grovin, even when I'm completely exhausted with all that college goodness. You can tell by the sound that all of the individuals are great musicians. You can check them out on Myspace or at their website. And if you're interested you can see them playing Indie 103's "check-one-two" night on Monday Feb 25th at the Viper Room in CA.
