November 23 is Buy Nothing Day for North American and November 24 internationally. Play the "Whirl-Mart" game, where you and a bunch of friends grab empty shopping carts and form a conga line, walking about the store, never putting anything in your cart, just to piss off the people who are fighting over who gets the &2.98 Spiderman DVD.
