I've been suprised with the popularity of RCRDLBL, the music industry's attempt to stop the illegally downloading from "privately owned blogs." However, their attempt is slightly behind. Nobody seems to know what's hot and what's not except for those esteemed few [Missing Toof and fluo kids ] and those that can completely understand that Ed Banger sound we all crave. RCRDLBL is just now praising the efforts of Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, and others that [for the most part] those who regulate the blog scene have known about for quite some time now. And anyway, what about how wonderful the illegal blog downloads can be? I mean, how else are you going to find a mashup of 50 cent and Orbital?
The positivies about RCRDLBL is that there are little to no advertising links to distract you from your reading. The negatives: no streaming of songs. Download it and like it, or trash it and throw it away.

that's very true. its definitely more popular than it was a year ago. but i like it, and i crave for what new stuff mehdi and uffie have been cooking up.
Cool is allllll relative. Think of a 3D Grid with the following axes:
time
geography
age
Ed Banger is played out in December 2007 in the Western world (i.e. US, UK, France etc) for a certain slice of 20ish kids who spend a lot of time in clubs and on the web (i.e. us). But we're a hella small slice of the planet. And there's shit we ain't heard yet either.
I was at the first Justice show in the US, in Miami. And they still sound fucking amazing to me.
What it comes down to: like what you like when you like it.
